Scapa K139 is a high performance single-sided paper tape, based on an impregnated lay-flat white paper carrier, reinforced by a glass scrim, coated with a specialty pressure sensitive adhesive. Recommended for splicing applications where a high mechanical resistance is required.

Applications
- Butt splicing of various materials, where resistance to high temperature and high mechanical resistance are required.
- Butt splicing during PVC flooring manufacturing and converting operations.
Product Benefits
- Self-wound construction (no liner), makes it quick and easy to apply.
- Scapa K139 is the reinforced version of K138.
- Glass scrim allows the product to have a very high mechanical resistance on both sides’ longitude and transverse.
- A special release on the back of the paper allows it to take a coating of plastisol and / or printing inks that are used in the PVC flooring industry.
- For an optimum bond on course surfaces, it is advised to press under hear (min 130°C).
- Specialty acrylic adhesive provides an excellent temperature resistance under stress (up to +200°C continuously and +250°C short term).
