Premium Semi-Conducting EPR Self-Amalgamating Tape - 0.75mm

PRODUCT REFERENCE: 2525

Scapa 2525 is a semi-conducting, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) tape. Its colour is black. The product and interleave are printed with the cautionary words semi-conducting to distinguish the product from insulating tapes.

Applications

  • For ensuring the continuity of conductor and core screens at cable joints in a variety of polymeric and elastomeric insulated cables.
  • For jointing power cables up to 69kV.
  • For stress cone construction, where it provides the conducting layer.
  • For smoothing electrical stresses on irregular shaped lugs and connectors.
  • For smoothing electrical stresses in joints and terminations using premoulded components.
  • For smoothing electrical stresses on overhead power lines, reducing discharges and consequent interference to local radio and telephone communications.
